Hardware Engineering Intern

Wattcost is an internationally awarded Australian tech startup company, pioneering ultra-low power wireless consumer products and AI-based machine-learning technologies, that simply transform an entire household and its appliances into the contextually-aware intelligent home of the future.

We’re looking for a hardware engineering intern, who loves to build stuff that matters. As part of the Wattcost team you will wear many hats and work alongside our engineers prototyping, manufacturing, cloud analytics and mobile app development testing. You’ll also become involved in commercial partner trials and other off-site projects.

You should have a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit – Wattcost is growing quickly, with each team member given significant responsibility and autonomy. This will mean hard work, but will also mean much room for innovation developing unique products while creating room for significant personal and career growth.

To be successful in this role:

  • Enrolled/graduated in Bachelor/Master of Engineering discipline
  • Experience in some software programming language
  • Is excited to take things apart to understand how they work
  • Strong desire to work with a small team to transform an industry
  • A fun, relaxed and engaging personality
  • Drivers/electricians license (not absolutely necessary)
